About the role

Forward Deployed Engineer at Span responsible for leading complex customer implementations, building full-stack solutions, shaping integrations, and ensuring value delivery in production environments within the context of engineering organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical success from POC to close to full post-sales enablement.
  • Identify basic requirements and work with designers to create conceptual mocks if needed.
  • Build features necessary for the customer to realize their success criteria, possibly extending into post-sales.
  • Demonstrate agility in addressing minor quality of life issues or bugs for prospects.
  • Work on automation and internal tools to improve presales success.
  • Collaborate with the GTM team to shape product marketing and positioning.
  • Work with founders on product strategy, serving as a voice of the customer.

Qualifications

  • Bring 4+ years of engineering experience building full-stack products or complex integrations in fast-moving environments.
  • Proficiency in production-quality code in TypeScript/JavaScript and Python.
  • Experience with data pipelines or strong grasp of SQL and data modeling.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
