About the role

Data ops role focused on building and scaling Chai’s lab-in-the-loop data platform to support AI model training, data generation initiatives, and collaboration with science and research teams.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision and execute scaling of Chai’s lab-in-the-loop data platform, working with science and research teams.
  • Design & drive complex projects and workflows across multi-party relationships.
  • Translate research goals into concrete deliverables—experiments, deliverables, success criteria, SOWs, timelines, trackers, etc.
  • Communicate highly technical information with clarity.
  • Juggle concurrent projects and priorities, adapting quickly and keeping everyone in sync.
  • Develop a vision for how we scale our data program by orders of magnitude.

Qualifications

  • Experience in data operations or as a generalist with project management and communications skills.
  • Ability to work with urgency in fast-paced environments (startups or similar).
  • Strong organizational, detail-oriented, and fast-moving capabilities.
  • Flexible, proactive, ambitious attitude.
  • Willingness to learn biology concepts to support AI methods (no biology background required upfront).
