About the role

Seeking an experienced Language Lead to oversee Malagasy language projects, ensure linguistic accuracy, lead teams, and manage client communications.

Provide expert-level translation, localization, and linguistic support for Malagasy language projects.
Ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and contextual relevance in all deliverables.
Review and edit translations to ensure they meet client requirements and quality standards.
Implement quality control processes and resolve linguistic issues, including terminology consistency and style adherence.
Lead Malagasy language projects from initiation to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality benchmarks are met.
Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other linguists to meet project goals.
Provide guidance and support to linguists and junior team members.
Facilitate training and development opportunities for the team to enhance skills and expertise.
Develop and maintain Malagasy language glossaries, style guides, and linguistic resources.
Serve as a point of contact for linguistic queries and feedback from clients.
Manage and address client concerns related to Malagasy language services.

A Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation Studies, Language Arts, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in translation, localization, or linguistic services.
At least 2 years of experience as a Language Lead or in a Senior Linguist position.
Native or near-native proficiency in Malagasy, with excellent command of English.
