About the role

Remote freelance linguist specializing in translation and localization for marketing and life sciences content in Afrikaans.

Translate, copy edit, and review content in specified subject areas including Investigator facing, Patient facing, Pharmacy material, Marketing, Help, and UI content.
Collaborate on multiple accounts and projects in a freelance capacity.

Minimum 3 years' experience in translation/editing in the relevant subject areas.
Professional proficiency in English (US/GB).
Native level expertise in Afrikaans with cultural understanding.
Experience with CAT tools like XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, Smartling.
Working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
Desirable: Translation degree, or 3 years translation experience with other degrees, or 5 years of translation experience with no degree.
