About the role

A remote freelance position for a senior linguist with expertise in marketing and life sciences, focusing on Sesotho language, providing translation, localization, and related services.

Responsibilities

  • Translate, localize, interpret, and perform QA testing on content within marketing and life sciences sectors.
  • Collaborate on multiple accounts and programs, utilizing linguistic and technical expertise.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in translating and copy editing in relevant subject matter areas.
  • Native level expertise in Sesotho with cultural understanding.
  • Professional level understanding of English (US/GB).
  • Proficiency with CAT tools such as XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, Smartling.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Translation degree or equivalent experience (3 years if degree, 5 years if no degree).
