About the role

A remote freelance position for a senior linguist specializing in marketing and life sciences translations, with expertise in Xhosa, to support multilingual content transformation for global clients.

Responsibilities

  • Translate, copy edit, and review content in specified subject matter areas including Investigator facing, Patient facing, Pharmacy material, Marketing, Help, and UI content.
  • Utilize CAT tools such as XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, and Smartling for translation and localization processes.
  • Collaborate with team members on multiple accounts and programs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in translating and copy editing in relevant subject matter areas.
  • Professional level understanding of English (US/GB).
  • Native level expertise in Xhosa with understanding of cultural nuances.
  • Well-versed with CAT tools like XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, Smartling.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Translation degree or 3+ years translation experience if other degree, 5+ years if no degree.
