About the role

A remote freelance position for a senior linguist specializing in marketing and life sciences translation, with expertise in Swahili.

Translate, copy edit, and review content in the subject matter areas of medicine, marketing, help, and UI.
Use CAT tools like XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, and Smartling for translation tasks.
Ensure cultural nuances are correctly conveyed in Swahili.
Collaborate with multiple accounts and programs.

Minimum 3 years' experience in translation or content editing in relevant verticals.
Professional understanding of English (US/GB).
Native level Swahili expertise with cultural understanding.
Proficiency with CAT tools (XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, Smartling).
Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
Desirable: Degree in translation or equivalent experience (3+ years).
