About the role

Senior Software Defined Networking (SDN) Specialist to lead design, deployment, and support of complex data center network solutions with VMware NSX (V & T), Cisco ACI, and Arista/VxLAN. Focus on architecture discussions, workshops, customer success, and ensuring alignment with business goals. Requires strong leadership, communication, and up-to-date on emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Service as subject matter expert for software defined technologies
  • Possess a strong understanding of VMware NSX (V & T) technologies and good understanding of Cisco ACI, Cisco or Arista VxLAN
  • Participate in the deployment of complex solutions, create written deliverables, and conduct client workshops
  • Communicate and execute architecture strategy & approach to client senior management and other stakeholders
  • Implement design architecture objectives that align with client demand & business goals
  • Present ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Exercise strong leadership and timely decision-making
  • Drive successful customer outcomes
  • Collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget
  • Ensure knowledge transfer to client teams for smooth operation of deployed solutions
  • Obtain and maintain relevant certifications

Qualifications

  • Cisco CCNP, ACI, or CCIE certification (required)
  • VMware NSX (V & T) expertise with large-scale data center deployments/migrations
  • Extensive experience with ACI (multi-pod & multi-site) from design to deployment
  • Minimum 10 years of data center experience in enterprise environments
  • Experience with VxLAN design and deployment (a plus)
  • Experience with VMware NSX design, deployment, V to T migration (a plus)
  • Depth of knowledge around underlay/overlay concepts, segmentation strategies, and interoperability
  • VMware or Arista certifications (a plus)
  • Strong ownership, problem-solving, urgency, and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
