About the role

Seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in Azure environments, infrastructure automation, security, and monitoring to manage and optimize cloud systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize Azure infrastructure, networking, security, and identity management, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 and industry best practices
  • Ensure customer-facing systems maintain high availability and rapid incident response, including automated failover and disaster recovery strategies
  • Maintain and enhance Azure Pipelines for seamless CI/CD workflows, integrating automated security, unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Implement and manage Terraform for infrastructure automation
  • Own the Datadog APM ecosystem, implementing best practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system health and compliance
  • Implement DevSecOps practices, including security scanning, role-based access controls (RBAC), and proactive threat mitigation using Azure Defender and Sentinel
  • Continuously monitor Azure cost trends, implementing FinOps strategies to optimize cloud expenses while maintaining performance and security
  • Administer and enhance Azure AD B2C, ensuring secure authentication and identity management
  • Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and business continuity
  • Work closely with Engineering and Security teams, documenting best practices, infrastructure changes, and operational procedures

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps
  • 5+ years in Azure environments
  • Expertise in Azure infrastructure, networking, and security including VNets, Front Door, WAF, Firewalls (Premium + IDPS), VPN, DNS, AD, App Service, Container Apps, Function Apps, Event Hub, Defender, and Sentinel
  • Preferred experience administering Azure AD B2C
  • Strong experience with Terraform (IaC)
  • Experience managing CI/CD pipelines with Azure Pipelines
  • Expertise in Application Performance Monitoring (APM) with Datadog
  • Familiarity with Hub-and-Spoke network architecture and cloud security principles
  • Strong database administration experience with Azure SQL Server
  • Experience with disaster recovery, incident management, High-Availability architectures
  • Deep understanding of DevSecOps principles
  • Proficiency in Git and GitHub
  • Experience in cloud cost optimization (FinOps)
  • Excellent communication and remote collaboration skills
  • Azure and/or Security certifications are a plus
