About the role

Seeking a senior full-stack engineer with expertise in Flask/Django and React to contribute to innovative SaaS applications in a remote Latin America-based position at Bluelight Consulting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Python frameworks such as Flask or Django.
  • Design and implement data storage solutions with PostgreSQL and ORMs.
  • Create and enhance front-end interfaces utilizing React and Knockout.
  • Utilize DevOps tools like Git, Vagrant, Fabric, Docker, AWS, and Jenkins for CI/CD and deployment.
  • Collaborate with teams and clients on challenging software projects.
  • Ensure high-quality, testable code with solid OOP and algorithms fundamentals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Developer using open-source technologies.
  • Strong experience with Python, including Flask or Django, and JavaScript frameworks like React.
  • Proficiency with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and use of ORMs.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
  • Strong foundations in software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
