About the role

Seeking a Laravel engineer with expertise in MySQL performance optimization to develop high-quality applications in a fast-paced, remote environment across LATAM.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Laravel applications with a focus on performance and scalability.
  • Optimize MySQL database queries, schemas, and indexes to improve system performance.
  • Write, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries for large datasets.
  • Implement secure, scalable RESTful APIs using Laravel.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to complex SaaS projects.
  • Ensure code quality through testing using Pest PHP and PHPUnit.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with Laravel 8 or above.
  • Expertise in MySQL database performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Proficiency in SQL query writing, debugging, and optimization.
  • Experience with database schema design and normalization.
  • Solid understanding of Laravel Eloquent ORM and Query Builder.
  • Experience working on large-scale multitenant SaaS applications.
  • Knowledge of Laravel Authentication and security best practices.
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Pest PHP and PHPUnit.
  • Ability to develop scalable RESTful APIs in Laravel.
  • ReactJS experience is a plus.
