About the role

Seeking a Python Engineer with extensive experience in software development, particularly with Django or Flask, to join a rapidly growing software consultancy. The role involves working on complex systems, collaborating with a dynamic team, and following detailed development processes in a remote setting covering Latin America.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a small team including developers, project manager, QA, and designer.
  • Complete two-week sprints, participate in retrospectives, and do daily standups.
  • Assist with building estimates.
  • Interface with clients via Slack, Zoom, and email.
  • Track time throughout the day using Toggl.
  • Work with modern tools including Jira, Slack, GitHub, Google Docs, etc.
  • Be part of a community of developers sharing knowledge.
  • Follow Bluelight's detailed development process.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience (6+ preferred).
  • 4+ years of professional experience working with Python.
  • 3+ years of experience with Django or Flask.
  • College degree (four-year).
  • Ability to take ownership of work and meet estimates.
  • Understanding of best practices in software development.
  • Ability to work through difficult issues and contribute to libraries.
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery.
