About the role

Junior role focusing on challenging projects for international clients, combining advanced data analytics and consulting, with opportunities to own projects, present to C-suite, and grow technical and business skills within a growing Shanghai office.

Responsibilities

  • Work on challenging projects with international blue-chip clients across diverse industries, on both advanced data analytics and consulting
  • Participate in teams of 3 to 6 Business Scientists on 1 to 3 projects simultaneously
  • Involve in projects from discovery meetings to final recommendations, gathering/analyzing data, building statistical models, translating insights into strategic recommendations
  • Present results to clients, including exposure to C-suite
  • Develop methodologies and industries expertise; learn through training, coaching and mentoring
  • Collaborate with team members including local leadership
  • Contribute to a high-impact, growth-oriented environment in Shanghai

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering or related analytical field
  • 1-2 years of experience in Data Analysis / Modelling / Advanced Analytics; internship experience in data science advantageous
  • Experience with statistical software such as R, Python, SQL
  • Proficient with Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Consulting experience or interest in consulting
  • Strong interest in marketing & business issues
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • High proficiency in Putonghua and English; APAC languages a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Self-motivated, diligent and eager to learn
