About the role

Generalist infrastructure and systems engineer role focused on building and scaling the core infrastructure behind foundation models, collaborating with researchers and product teams to accelerate experiments, improve efficiency, and enable insights across models, products, and data assets.

Responsibilities

  • Core Infrastructure: build systems and run large Kubernetes clusters with GPU workloads; support infrastructure for training and serving frontier AI models and tools like Tinker.
  • Data Infrastructure: design and optimize data pipelines using tools like Spark; build scalable, reliable data infrastructure with governance practices.
  • Developer Productivity: create tooling, systems, and frameworks to improve developer environments and enable rapid shipping.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, or similar.
  • Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python or Rust).
  • Experience operating large-scale clusters and container orchestration systems (e.g. Kubernetes or Slurm).
  • Comfort operating across the stack and owning projects end-to-end.
  • Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Bias for action and initiative to work across stacks and teams to ship solutions.
