About the role
Founding Engineer role at Gauge, a YC-backed startup in San Francisco, focused on AI-driven visibility and agentic data workflows. Full-time position reporting to the CTO, with early-stage responsibilities across the tech stack in a fast-growing environment.
Responsibilities
- In this role, you would work on every component in our system to improve the product for customers. You will be expected to turn high-level guidance into high quality, end-to-end features, while making smart investments in our platform.
- You could be building agent workflows, powerful CLI tools, or anything else that helps our customers win in AI search.
- We have Slack channels with our customers, so you’ll get immediate feedback when you ship.
Qualifications
- 3+ YoE in web development
- Broad experience across the stack
- Ability to maintain a strong quality bar while shipping quickly
- Experience as an ex-founder, ex-founding engineer, or at a high-growth Seed/Series A startup is a plus
