About the role

Hybrid full-time role in Paris, France, focused on building and running People Ops initiatives. NoHR environment where managers are first contact, with the People Ops team providing tools, data, and guidelines. Split roughly 50/50 between build (projects, data, automation, IA, dashboards) and run (personnel administration, payroll, data integrity, manager support).

Responsibilities

  • Pilot projects end-to-end to improve People Ops and manager workflows
  • Simplify and improve processes
  • Build and evolve Help Hub and documentation
  • Create dashboards and reporting to leverage data from tools
  • Automate controls, reporting, or repetitive tasks
  • Identify and test simple IA/automation use-cases
  • Collaborate on Group projects with Octopus teams (UK)
  • Support managers in adopting new tools and ways of working
  • Administer personnel: contracts, variations, movements, absences, exits
  • Prepare and validate payroll
  • Ensure data coherence across tools
  • Handle manager and employee questions
  • Manage operational topics and urgent issues
  • Provide hands-on support to the team during busy periods
  • Contribute to daily People Ops activities while identifying improvement opportunities

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years of experience in People Ops, HR Operations, or a generalist role with strong operational focus
  • Very good spoken English (minimum B2-C1)
  • Experience in a start-up / scale-up environment
  • Comfort with run People Ops: personnel administration, payroll, data control, manager/employee support
  • Experience using data to analyze and improve operations
  • Led People projects or tool-related initiatives from needs to implementation
  • Very proficient with Google Sheets / Excel and Google Workspace, Slack, Mac environment
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented, able to deliver simple, useful solutions
  • Autonomous, comfortable in a fast-moving environment, able to prioritize between long-term projects and urgent operational topics
