About the role

Sous Chef at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon leading kitchen operations, mentoring staff, and ensuring high-quality, cost-efficient dishes for restaurant, banquets, and events.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Daily Operations: Oversee food production for our restaurant, banquets, and special events.
  • Be the Chef’s Right Hand: Take charge in the kitchen when the Chef is away, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Mentor Your Team: Train, guide, and manage kitchen staff while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Elevate Quality: Work with the Chef to ensure every dish meets our high standards of flavor, presentation, and cost-efficiency.
  • Strategize Smartly: Assist with inventory, pricing, and cost controls to maximize profitability.
  • Drive Excellence: To uphold a pristine environment and monitor sanitation, safety, and kitchen conditions.

Qualifications

  • Culinary Expertise: At least 2 years of kitchen experience, with a proven track record in supervisory or management roles.
  • Certifications: State or Serve Safe certified, ensuring top-tier food safety knowledge.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience in team management, performance evaluation, and training.
  • Flexibility: Ready to tackle evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.
  • Professionalism: A positive attitude and polished demeanor that sets the tone for your team.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Multitask and handle challenges with poise under pressure.
