About the role

Seeking a French Canadian Localization QA Tester / Proofreader to ensure high-quality, accurate, and polished localized content for a long-term, on-site project in Austin, TX. Responsibilities include reviewing, editing, testing, and reporting localization issues across digital products.

Responsibilities

  • Write and report bugs and errors using internal systems.
  • Understand and prioritize testing tasks.
  • Utilize native-level French Canadian language skills and cultural awareness.
  • Communicate effectively in oral and written forms.
  • Conduct QA testing on products following provided instructions and test cases.
  • Identify, document, and verify fixes for localization bugs.
  • Evaluate translation accuracy in software, mobile apps, and documentation.
  • Research and resolve linguistic questions in French (Canada).
  • Follow project-specific quality standards, style guides, and glossaries.
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Complete tasks accurately, efficiently, and timely.

Qualifications

  • Native-level fluency in French Canadian.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience or background in marketing, journalism, copy editing, proofreading, translation, or localization.
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed testing instructions.
