About the role

Machine Learning Engineer role on the SAIGE team to design, prototype, and deploy AI-first SaaS products leveraging Large Quantitative Models and agentic frameworks; own end-to-end ML lifecycle from data exploration to production deployment, building MVPs and contributing to scalable, production-ready ML systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, construct, and manage robust data pipelines for training, validation, and continuous retraining of Large Quantitative Models (LQMs) and agentic frameworks.
  • Develop, implement, and rigorously test novel ML models and algorithms, defining metrics to align performance with product objectives.
  • Lead data cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering for large-scale datasets to optimize LQM performance and predictive accuracy.
  • Conduct deep analysis of model behavior, performance, and failure modes; tune hyperparameters and optimize architecture for production contexts.
  • Collaborate with AI researchers, product managers, and software engineers to translate business objectives into ML development and deployment roadmaps.
  • Champion and enforce high engineering standards for code quality, system efficiency, and security in prototyping environments.
  • Drive technical execution with high autonomy and make critical design and implementation decisions independently.

Qualifications

  • BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field of study
  • 8+ years of postgraduate experience in software development
  • Experience developing highly-available, performant, scalable ML systems, including large-scale data processing pipelines
  • Strong expertise in Python and ML stack (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, NumPy, Pandas)
  • Proven track record of driving the full ML lifecycle from data exploration to production deployment
  • Deep proficiency in MLOps and software best practices (CI/CD for ML, experiment tracking with Weights & Biases/MLflow, automated testing, version control for code and datasets)
