About the role

Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer responsible for building and deploying applications that leverage PhysicsX’s physics AI models to solve customers’ most important problems across multiple engineering disciplines. Collaborates with customers, data scientists, ML engineers, designers, and platform teams to design, prototype, and deploy end-to-end solutions in production.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, ML engineers, designers, front-end engineers) to ship physics models and deliver maximum value to customers.
  • E2E application design: shape tools with customers, create low-lift prototypes, and rapidly iterate based on user feedback.
  • Backend development: build and maintain RESTful APIs (FastAPI) and Python microservices to serve Large Physics Models; deploy applications to the cloud using Helm, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS/Azure.
  • PhysicsX development: distill complex multi-use-case solutions into fundamental components and drive feature development on the core platform.

Qualifications

  • Technical ability across a wide range of high-complexity engineering disciplines; background in Mechanical Engineering or similar is a plus.
  • Solid foundation in software engineering, API design, and deployment to production.
