About the role

Senior Software Engineer at Upvest, contributing to the development of a true product team building scalable, event-driven, microservice-based systems for fintech infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Make an impact in a true product team with a large ownership scope.
  • Work with cutting-edge technologies (Go as primary language; willingness to switch from another language) without a legacy codebase.
  • Work on improving the reliability of our API.
  • Deliver fast and often in an agile two-week cycle with retrospectives and demos.
  • Design, build and own event-driven, fault-tolerant, horizontally scalable distributed systems using a Microservice architecture powered by Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Investment products or the Fintech domain (great to have).
  • Experience in event-driven architectures, event streaming, and event sourcing systems.
  • Experience operating services in a decoupled, event-driven system with modern observability tooling (monitoring and tracing).
