About the role

Responsible for designing, deploying, and managing Welocalize's cloud, on-premises, and co-lo infrastructure with a focus on cloud solutions, cloud migration, and hybrid cloud management.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
  • Collaborate with development teams to create and implement cloud solutions and best practices.
  • Ensure system availability, reliability, and scalability.
  • Monitor and optimize billing, capacity, and performance.
  • Implement security controls including firewalls, IAM roles, and secret management.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting languages and Infrastructure as Code tools.
  • Support migration of traditional applications to cloud-based environment.
  • Create and maintain documentation for cloud architecture, procedures, and policies.
  • Support and administer core enterprise SaaS platforms like Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Okta.
  • Ensure cloud environments have proper observability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Stay updated on hybrid cloud management trends.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in cloud systems engineering or related role.
  • Strong experience with Azure and related services.
  • Experience managing on-premises infrastructure, including VMware ESXi / vSphere, virtualization, storage, and networking.
  • Experience supporting enterprise SaaS and identity platforms (Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Azure AD, Okta, etc.).
  • Experience with AWS and GCP is a plus.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
  • Experience working with GitHub.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud networking, storage, and compute components.
  • Knowledge of hybrid network concepts (routing, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or similar.
  • Certifications in cloud or infrastructure are a plus.
