Part-time: Coding and math teacher | Online school for kids (US hours)
About the role
Part-time contract role teaching coding and math to kids aged 8-16 remotely, with US-market hours. Provides lesson materials, focuses on student-centered coding and math projects, and offers training and paid onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Teach kids ages 8-16 math and coding over Google Meet/Zoom.
- Deliver Strive’s three main courses: Coding Fundamentals (Python, JavaScript, etc.), AI Coding, Mathematics Tutoring (aligned to American and International School Math Standards).
- Guide students to write code for full projects, fostering independence and teamwork.
- Participate in teaching demos and ongoing coaching with students to foster confidence and joy in learning.
Qualifications
- Fluent in any coding language.
- Patience and passion for working with kids.
- Must be able to commit at least 5 hours of teaching a week.
- Strong and reliable internet connection.
