Responsibilities

  • Continuously improve the performance and reliability of our frontend application by optimizing code and identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Enhance existing features by incorporating user feedback and implementing improvements to usability and design.
  • Take ownership of the frontend architecture, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Lead any initiative you think may have a strong impact on Formal.

Qualifications

  • Relevant software development experience building data-intensive software platforms
  • Strong expertise in a modern framework (e.g. React, Vue.js) and proficiency with some backend language (Go)
  • Experience with streaming data processing frameworks such as Apache Kafka and Google Pub/Sub
  • Some experience with underlying infrastructure primitives like Kubernetes and Terraform
  • Experience in building scalable, responsive, and cross-browser compatible web applications
  • Solid understanding of frontend development principles, including testing, performance optimization, code modularity, and accessibility
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges with innovative solutions
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
