About the role

Technical Writer responsible for task-based platform documentation and how-to guides, owning the complete guide lifecycle from scoping and research to publication, validation, updates, testing, and maintenance. Works with curriculum lead and subject matter experts to ensure guides form a reliable technical foundation for training and customer workflows, with content evolving alongside platform releases.

Responsibilities

  • Scope how-to guides in detail per topic, leveraging existing Product and Delivery materials to build repeatable, distributable guides and incorporate new product features as they ship
  • Create and publish new how-to guides, coordinating with subject matter experts and using pre-built skills and writing rules
  • Maintain all existing guides on a regular schedule
  • Partner with the curriculum lead to ensure published guides provide a reliable technical foundation for training, while curriculum design, learning pathways, exercises, and trainer materials remain owned by the curriculum lead
  • Gain approval from GTM leadership and relevant subject matter experts on every user guide before it is published

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in technical writing, developer relations or documentation engineering
  • Curriculum, training or technical documentation experience
  • Strong proficiency with Markdown, and ideally MkDocs or a similar tool
  • Experience working in MD or AsciiDoc files
  • Experience with version control via GitHub
  • Comfortable with docs as code workflows and CI/CD integration
  • Familiarity with the Diataxis documentation framework (tutorials, how to guides, reference, explanation)
  • Comfortable using company docs guidelines and agentic writing skills
  • Ability to write clear, concise prose that respects readers' time
