About the role

The Senior Project Manager will manage accounts, oversee project planning, execution, tracking, and delivery, and support the Operations Squad Lead in large enterprise accounts, building strong relationships with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Supervision and leadership of global teams (including internal and external, direct and indirect reports)
  • Preparation, analysis and implementation of project plans following the Welocalize standards for project management, workflow and completion
  • Creation and management of project schedules
  • Creating project estimates and proposals for customer approval
  • Risk assessment and strategic planning of activities to minimize potential issues
  • Management of QA projects, including resource management, defect management, reporting, etc.
  • Working collaboratively on project and client objectives with stakeholders
  • Development and preparation of process documents where required
  • Operating with a medium level of support, including recognition and escalation of issues beyond their control
  • Working with the production team in improving project delivery and profitability
  • Establishing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and vendors
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customer contacts at the project level
  • Effective and timely communication with all stakeholders
  • Ensuring all finance systems data is accurate and up to date
  • Reporting including weekly project status, budget to actual, and client/vendor issues
  • Managing project margins to ensure profitability
  • Planning, preparing, and running quarterly business reviews with clients

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree OR Bachelor’s Degree and industry experience in lieu of Master’s Degree
  • Proven track record of Project Management
  • Experience working internationally or with international product development
  • Experience in a technology-related company
  • Proven experience managing large clients and projects
  • Experience authoring client documents such as SOWs, proposals, processes, post-mortems
  • Active participation in process development and client sales cycles
  • Experience managing financial budgets, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Experience with Translation Management Systems (e.g., GlobalSight, Idiom, SDL TMS)
