About the role

Rillet’s accounting and finance platform seeking an Accounting Subject Matter Expert to translate complex accounting workflows into product requirements, partner with engineers/designers, and shape features for finance professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert on technical accounting topics
  • Translate complex accounting workflows and compliance needs into product requirements and specs.
  • Define, prioritize, and execute features that align with customer needs and business goals.
  • Partner closely with engineers and designers to deliver accurate, intuitive solutions.
  • Gather feedback from customers, internal stakeholders, and the market to inform product development.
  • Create product documentation, release notes, and training materials.
  • Support QA and user acceptance testing for finance-related features.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or accounting operations experience.
  • 2+ years of experience owning accounting processes, with a track record of creating operational efficiencies through use of AI and other new technology.
  • Proven experience in accounting and finance and working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, Sage, or Oracle.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including collaborating across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, startup environments, with a sharp eye for detail and process improvement.
  • Experience with SaaS revenue recognition and ASC 606 is a strong plus.
