About the role

Cloud Security Engineer focusing on infrastructure security within Recorded Future's Product Security team. Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across cloud environments, conducting security reviews, and guiding engineering teams to embed security throughout the product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design and Implement Security Solutions: designing, building, and deploying robust, scalable security solutions and infrastructure components; selecting, configuring, and integrating security tools and technologies to bake in security.
  • Cloud Security Management: secure cloud environments with robust security controls, monitoring configurations, and compliance with best practices.
  • Security Architecture and Design Review: conduct security reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for new features and architecture; provide actionable feedback to engineering teams.
  • Engineering Collaboration and Guidance: partner with software engineers, DevOps, and product managers; mentor engineers on secure coding practices and security design principles.
  • Product Security Team Participation: maintain security documentation, manage security-related tickets, participate in on-call rotations, drive process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven relevant professional experience
  • Strong cloud security knowledge, preferably AWS or GCP
  • Strong foundational knowledge of security principles
  • Solid Linux knowledge
  • Kubernetes knowledge is a plus
  • Background in coding/scripting is desired, preferably Go and/or Python
  • Interest in balancing security needs with developer productivity
  • Excellent communication skills and cross-team relationship building
  • Strong ability to assess risks and make informed decisions
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code
