About the role
Reflection is a research lab building open and accessible intelligence. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and product to translate ambiguous requirements into clean, operable systems and turn prototypes into hardened production components for internal and customer-facing surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Build internal product surfaces such as dashboards, admin tools, and self-serve workflows.
- Own end-to-end delivery across UI, APIs, authentication, RBAC, and audit trails.
- Integrate with customer environments and adjacent systems to ensure seamless workflows.
- Productionize prototypes into reliable, maintainable, and operable platform components.
- Translate fuzzy product requirements into clear system designs and usable interfaces.
- Feed delivery learnings back into platform patterns and defaults so the next system ships faster.
Qualifications
- Strong full-stack engineering background with experience shipping production-grade applications end-to-end.
- Comfortable owning the full delivery surface — UI through API through auth — without needing to hand off between layers.
- Experience integrating with external systems or customer environments and making those integrations reliable and maintainable.
- Thrive in a high-agency, fast-paced environment; bias toward action and impact.
- Excited about zero to one challenges — turning prototypes into real systems rather than polishing existing ones.
- Collaborative, clear communicator, comfortable working across research, platform, and product boundaries.
- Motivated by building the tooling and workflows that let the world's most capable open-weight AI systems get built faster.
