About the role

Server Systems Administrator within Epic's Hosting entity responsible for keeping systems up and running, developing tools to support operating systems, troubleshooting, monitoring system health, and coordinating with third-party vendors. Opportunities to collaborate across teams and grow skills in scripting, documentation, development, and technical support. Located near Madison, WI with a comprehensive benefits package and potential for promotions, raises, bonuses, and stock grants.

Responsibilities

  • Follow policies and procedures and escalate when policies or procedures are not followed
  • Escalate potential security incidents and provide relevant information
  • Meet all security responsibilities defined in policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, MIS, or other hard science preferred
  • A history of academic and professional success
  • Knowledge of Linux or Windows system administration, virtualization, scripting, automation, or DevOps processes is a plus, but not necessary
  • Willingness to travel 1-2 weeks per year
  • Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
  • Relocation to the Madison, WI area (reimbursed)
  • Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
  • COVID-19 vaccination
