About the role

Responsible for reviewing and localizing multimedia content in Swedish to ensure high quality, cultural relevance, and accuracy. Acts as cultural ambassador for the language market, providing localized content and cultural insights.

Responsibilities

  • Localize, translate and adapt content of various categories while adhering to style guides
  • Write new copy for multimedia products such as music, TV, apps, video-on-demand, and subscriptions
  • Perform linguistic review of own and team members' work for all content types
  • Copy-edit and fact-check content for accuracy
  • Perform Localization QA testing on live content (music descriptions, marketing material, etc.)
  • Conduct market-specific research on content trends and localization practices
  • Transcribe spoken content like lyrics
  • Report on data/assets across media types
  • Review linguistic assessments and create training materials for new projects
  • Collaborate with global language team on content review tasks, terminology, trends, and market insights

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in relevant field
  • 2+ years of experience in journalism, copywriting, or copyediting media content such as music, TV, or applications
  • Experience in translation and localization of multimedia content
  • Ability to detect issues and inconsistencies in large volumes of content
  • Wide knowledge of music, TV, cinema, gaming, and pop culture
  • Ability to own language market and make confident linguistic decisions
  • Highly detail-oriented with multitasking and deadline skills
  • Native Swedish speaker and fluent in English
  • Strong computer literacy; knowledge of iOS/macOS is a plus
  • Capable of typing at native language level on local keyboard
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Team-oriented and able to collaborate in a multicultural virtual environment
