About the role

Direct leadership role for the SAIGE team, owning product strategy and execution in Finance & Risk Modeling, driving rapid prototyping and 0→1 innovation, and partnering with engineering, research, and UX researchers to bring quantitative AI products to market.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution for our Finance/Risk portfolio, focusing on financial services and insurance workflows (e.g., portfolio risk, capital modeling, risk analytics, underwriting).
  • Develop deep understanding of customer contexts, models, data flows, and risk modeling systems.
  • Partner with quantitative researchers, ML engineers, and domain experts to translate customer problems into clear product requirements and data needs.
  • Define success metrics and validation strategies to compare approaches against existing risk/portfolio views and demonstrate differentiated value.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new AI / LQM use cases across multiple domains beyond Finance/Risk.
  • Lead 0→1 product discovery, hypothesis development, lightweight customer validation, and rapid prototype iteration.
  • Collaborate with engineering and research to scope meaningful, fast experiments.
  • Establish ruthless prioritization to focus on high-impact opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted product partner to senior stakeholders at key customers (e.g., heads of risk, portfolio managers, actuaries, CROs).
  • Lead customer conversations from discovery through pilot definition and ongoing adoption, aligning needs to SAIGE roadmap.
  • Communicate progress, learnings, and recommendations clearly to executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with substantial time on complex B2B or platform products.
  • Deep experience in financial services and/or insurance (risk modeling, financial simulation or scenario analysis, portfolio analytics, decision support tools).
  • Experience working with quantitative, engineering, and cross-functional teams; comfortable discussing models, data pipelines, and trade-offs with engineers and researchers.
  • Proven 0→1 product management track record: identifying opportunities, prototyping, early product development, and ruthless prioritization.
  • Strong customer-facing skills: leading discovery and roadmap conversations with senior stakeholders; uncovering real needs and articulating problem statements.
  • Ability to operate in high-ambiguity environments and drive execution with minimal process.
  • Alignment with SandboxAQ values and SAIGE principles (rapid prototyping, learning, communication, shared ownership).
