About the role

Responsible for the overall quality of their language at an account level, reviewing and localizing multimedia content in Norwegian, ensuring accuracy, cultural relevance, and adherence to guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Localize, translate and adapt content of various categories (multimedia, legal, technical, marketing) while adhering to style guides and guidelines.
  • Write new copy for multimedia products such as music, TV, app store apps, video on-demand, and game subscriptions.
  • Perform linguistic review of own and team members' work across content types.
  • Copy-edit and fact-check content for accuracy.
  • Perform Localization QA testing on published content.
  • Conduct market-specific research on content treatment, terminology, and localization practices.
  • Transcribe spoken content such as lyrics.
  • Report on data/assets across media and content types.
  • Review linguistic assessments, create training materials, and ensure team training on terminology and style.
  • Collaborate with global language team for content review, calibration, and market insights.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA and 2+ years of experience in journalism, copywriting, or copyediting media content with writing samples.
  • Experience in translation and localization of multimedia content.
  • Ability to quickly detect issues and inconsistencies.
  • Wide knowledge of music artists, TV, cinema, gaming, and pop culture.
  • Ability to own language market and make confident linguistic decisions.
  • Highly detail-oriented with multitasking and deadline management skills.
  • Native in Norwegian and fluent in English.
  • Strong computer literacy, knowledge of iOS/macOS is a plus.
  • Capable of typing in native language using a local keyboard.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Collaborative and enjoys teamwork in multicultural environments.
