About the role

Senior-level role designing high-speed analog/mixed-signal circuits and interfaces for NVIDIA GPUs, with hands-on transistor-level design, verification, and collaboration across mask design, silicon bring-up, and product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high speed interfaces and complex mixed-signal circuits using state-of-the-art sub-micron CMOS technologies and EDA tools
  • Design high speed analog and hybrid Phase Locked loops and associated subblocks (VCO, charge-pump, dividers, state machines, LDO, bandgap, TDC, interpolator, high speed buffers)
  • Design data converters (ADC, DAC) and contribute to architecture development and transistor-level circuit design of blocks like comparators, digital state machines, high-performance op-amps
  • Collaborate with mask design engineers for physical design and with characterization groups for silicon evaluation
  • Support technology transfer to product development teams
  • Perform architecture studies, circuit designs & simulations, floor-planning, instruct mask designers, reliability verifications and silicon bring-up
  • Demonstrate learning ability and analytical skills in exploring new technologies

Qualifications

  • BSEE or equivalent experience (MS preferred)
  • 6+ years in deep-submicron CMOS technologies with transistor-level analog design, layout, and simulation experience
  • Hands-on design experience in performance analog and hybrid PLLs, ADCs, DACs; experience with VCO, LDO, bandgap, chargepump, opamps, interpolator circuits; deep sub-micron process experience
  • Nice-to-have: digital PLL, TDC, DSP and control theory related to digital PLLs
  • Proficiency with simulation tools (Spectre, HSPICE, AFS, MATLAB, SystemVerilog, Python); Cadence ADE-L and ADE-XL
  • Experience with Monte-Carlo, noise simulations, and stability analysis
  • Understanding of DRC/LVS results with verification tools (Calibre, ICV)
  • Scripting skills (Perl, Python, MATLAB) a plus
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and positive energy
