About the role

Solutions Architect to support Japanese manufacturing companies in adopting GPU-acceleration and AI for Chemical and Materials Science, focusing on Industrial HPC and AI for Chemistry and Materials Science; acts as a trusted technical advisor, engages with developers/scientists, and documents knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Be a technical expert with vision on integrating NVIDIA GPU-accelerated tools and microservices into Industrial HPC and AI workflows for Chemistry and Materials Science.
  • Support the business development team in guiding the customer through the sales process for NVIDIA’s platform of GPU compute systems and acceleration software; manage technical relationships and assist customers in developing innovative products using NVIDIA technologies.
  • Dynamically engage with developers, scientific researchers, and data scientists to understand goals and deliver high-value solutions; answer questions, provide mentorship, and help build GPU compute infrastructure.
  • Document knowledge and guide others via training, whitepapers, blogs, wiki articles, and collaborative problem solving with partners.
  • Keep up-to-date on AI for Chemistry and Materials Science techniques (atomistic simulation, MLIPs, GNNs, structural generative AI).

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computational Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of industry or academic experience in the manufacturing ecosystem applying AI for Chemical and Material Science
  • Strong programming, optimization, and software design fundamentals, especially in Python and C++
  • Excellent verbal, written, and technical presentation skills in Japanese; business-level English
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive with a strong desire to share knowledge with clients, partners, and co-workers
