About the role

Software engineer role in Google's gReach program, a 12-month paid upskilling program for people with disabilities. Role includes working on technical projects across teams, with on-the-job training and opportunities to develop career in computer science within Google.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a technical project to build solutions and gain exposure to scale and complexity.
  • Develop technical skills, build confidence in abilities, and prepare for a career in computer science.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution to effectively solve real-world problems.
  • Develop scripts to automate routine tasks.
  • Create and support a productive and innovative team, including working with peers, managers, and teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • Ability to communicate in English and Mandarin fluently to collaborate with colleagues and complete tasks.
