About the role

QA Lead role to build and lead the QA function across full stack for Dyna Robotics, focusing on both automation and hands-on physical validation of robotics hardware and software; emphasize AI-assisted testing, CI/CD, and cross-functional alignment across robotics, ML, and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, develop, and retain a QA team; provide career development, delegate ownership, monitor team energy, drive recruiting, foster psychological safety.
  • Own QA strategy and roadmap; align priorities with company vision; translate quality risks into business impact; drive cross-team alignment and shield team from organizational noise.
  • Build and maintain scalable automated test frameworks across robot software, cloud, and edge devices; expand CI coverage; shift testing left; minimize manual testing.
  • Own and automate release checklists (inference server, station-side deployment); run A/B testing for robotic tasks to measure success rates and latency; perform manual validation when needed.
  • Design and execute evaluation pipelines for AI model and full-system performance across model, software, and hardware updates; define metrics; build automated regression benchmarks; gate releases on evaluation results.
  • Use monitoring tools (Datadog, Grafana) to track system health and maintain observability across production environments.
  • Validate real-robot behavior that simulation cannot cover; validate mechanical repeatability, sensor calibration drift, edge cases; troubleshoot firmware, drivers, and application software integration issues.
  • Establish and maintain SOPs for hardware and software validation; drive continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field.
  • 7+ years in QA, SRE, or Robotics Engineering with hands-on experience testing real hardware systems (not purely software/simulation); 2+ years in a team lead or management role.
