About the role

Senior-level data science roles across the full lifecycle, from problem framing to production, within Neo’s embedded data science organization that partners with Product, Engineering, Risk, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Frame problems and ship end-to-end data science solutions that move from prototype to production
  • Own the path from experimentation to a monitored service and ensure the model remains reliable
  • Establish and follow standards for reproducibility, metric consistency, model governance, and documentation
  • Mentor teammates through code review, experimental design, and people development
  • Align across functions to translate business needs into actionable data work
  • Work on problems across risk, fraud, growth analytics, and ML platform reliability in production
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure models ship and insights influence decisions

Qualifications

  • Deep technical fluency in Python and SQL
  • Cloud and data-platform literacy with hands-on capability to ship
  • Experience in fintech, lending, payments, or other regulated environments
  • Track record of taking initiatives from working to reliable to growing amid ambiguity
  • Low ego, high standards, willingness to do unglamorous work and raise the bar for others
