About the role
Software Development Engineer role on AWS Agentic AI team (QuickSuite). Early-stage generative AI initiative in AWS, focused on translating business requirements into deliverables, prototyping, and building scalable distributed services using Java and Python, with AWS technologies. Mentorship, collaboration with PMs, researchers, and engineers, and opportunity to impact next-generation AI products.
Responsibilities
- Translate business and functional requirements into concrete deliverables
- Build quick prototypes or proofs of concept in partnership with team leaders
- Invent new features and design, develop and deploy highly scalable and reliable distributed services
- Work with core languages (primarily Java and Python) and AWS technologies
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Applied Scientists
- Mentor junior engineers and solve technical challenges
Qualifications
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
