About the role

Datadog’s in-house product experts within the Technical Solutions (TS) team, leading GTM technical strategy for Japan, serving as technical multipliers and trusted advisors to senior customer executives, and aligning customer ambitions with Datadog’s technology roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • C-Level: Strategically guide CIO/CTO/CEO/CISO-level customer and prospect executives in rationalizing their adoption journey, investment and operationalizing of observability.
  • GTM: Identifies industry specific trends and their impact during customer engagements, feeding top-of-funnel for Product, GTM, BVA and Architecture teams; co-create industry solutions with Product SAs and Product Management.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate Datadog's platform and thought leadership in Observability and Security, emphasizing advanced solutions and best practices for large-scale environments.
  • Advisory: Be a trusted advisor to Sales leaders and customer/prospect executives on ROI, value realization and white-space analysis; assist with opportunity and adoption strategy.
  • Collaboration: Work with PSA, Sales, Sales Engineering and Marketing to provide high-quality technical resources to practitioners and economic buyers.
  • Presentations: Lead architecture and design engagements; participate in Executive Brief conversations with high-profile customers and prospects.
  • Hiring: Assist leadership in recruiting and hiring for Product Solutions Architecture and Field CTO teams.

Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: 15+ years with Enterprise or Application architecture at scale; deep knowledge of observability, cloud, and shifts for Japan region.
  • Strategic Thinker: Able to think long term about technical and business challenges
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience influencing VP+ and C-level in large enterprises
  • Technologist: Hands-on with credibility across organizational levels
  • Presenter: Excellent customer-facing presentation skills; comfortable with executives and non-technical audiences
  • Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication; link product to business value and ROI
  • Education: Bachelor’s in engineering or related field; Master’s preferred
  • Language: Native level in Japanese with strong English proficiency (spoken and written)
