About the role

Software engineer to build and scale the Acceldata Open Data Platform (ODP), an enterprise-grade, open-source platform for cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments. Work on distributed systems, observability, and open-source contributions with impact on data platform and OSS community.

Responsibilities

  • - 4+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2-3 years actively contributing to open-source projects, ideally within the Apache ecosystem.
  • -

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Java, Python, Scala, or Go (preferred)
  • Experience with distributed computing and high-performance applications (highly desired)
  • Experience across Hadoop, Kubernetes, Snowflake, Databricks, and multi-cloud platforms
  • Ability to work in fast-moving, customer-facing environments
  • Strong coding, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
  • Effective communication with senior leadership
  • Strong collaboration with internal teams, external contributors, and the broader open-source community
