About the role

Senior Software Engineer at PointOne, an AI time platform for law firms. Full-time role based in New York, NY, focusing on building AI-powered timekeeping and billing infrastructure for legal customers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop novel AI products, providing customers with entirely new workflows.
  • Work directly with customers (visiting their offices) to understand needs, prioritize requests, and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Prototype and integrate AI pipelines (e.g., retrieval‑augmented generation) to prove out new workflows.
  • Lead by example through mentoring future hires, pairing, and code reviews. Shape engineering culture.
  • Talk to customers throughout the day over Teams, video and phone calls; develop plans based on highest priority items; ship code to production multiple times per day.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience at hyper-growth startups and/or leading big tech companies
  • A CS degree from a top university
  • Strong product sense
  • High degree of ownership and the ability to operate autonomously
