About the role

PointOne is an AI Time Platform for law firms. They build AI-enabled timekeeping and billing infrastructure for legal clients and are hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to develop novel AI products, work with customers, and lead by example.

Responsibilities

  • Develop novel AI products, providing customers with entirely new workflows.
  • Work directly with customers to understand needs, prioritize requests, and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Prototype and integrate AI pipelines (e.g., retrieval‑augmented generation) to prove out new workflows.
  • Lead by example through mentoring future hires, pairing, and code reviews. You're shaping the engineering culture.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience at hyper-growth startups and/or leading big tech companies
  • A CS degree from a top university
  • Strong product sense
  • High degree of ownership and the ability to operate autonomously
  • You're excited to work in-person, talk to customers, and build products that professionals rely on every day.
