About the role

Senior Engineer focused on building containerized cloud security services for a distributed multi-tenant system, primarily using Go, Kubernetes, and data pipelines to provide real-time cloud visibility, security insights, and recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop containerized (micro) services for a distributed multi-tenant system processing data and real-time events and network telemetry from multiple public clouds to provide real-time insights, visibility, and security recommendations to customers.
  • Design your service, defend the design/architecture before peers, and deliver a rock-solid implementation.
  • Mentor junior engineers, new-grads, and interns to help them grow as engineers.
  • Write code in Go and work with data pipelines using SQL or other interfaces; leverage Kubernetes for service infrastructure.
  • Own critical features and subsystems and the entire software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment and usage by customers.
  • Own operational aspects of the system and contribute to writing better, more maintainable software.
  • Maintain code quality through early testing and functional/integration testing.
  • Partner with Product Management to review and refine requirements beyond customer expectations.
  • Develop deep understanding of customer problems through stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent degree; Master’s degree a plus
  • 4+ years building distributed & scalable software and systems
  • AWS / Azure / GCP cloud experience with API/programming level usage
  • Experience with networking and security controls a plus
  • Kubernetes-based platform experience; containerized services delivery desired
  • Go and SQL experience; REST API client experience
  • CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible are nice to have
  • General TCP/IP networking knowledge
  • Unix/Linux programming environment experience
