About the role

CMM Programmer position for Amazon Leo (Kuiper) with 2nd shift responsibilities, focused on programming, setup, and operation of coordinate measuring machines for aerospace-style components, first article and in-process inspections, and close collaboration with machinists and engineers in a fast-paced production/development environment.

Responsibilities

  • Program, setup and operate coordinate measuring machines.
  • Perform first article, in-process, final and receiving inspections.
  • Provide feedback to machinists and engineers with dimensional data.
  • Document, track and complete discrepancy reports.
  • Maintain and track all inspection equipment calibrations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M standard.
  • Provide inspection time estimates.
  • Maintain configuration control on files and job records.
  • Communicate effectively with team.
  • Utilize precision hand tools, gages, optical comparator, and surface plate work.
  • Inspect tight tolerance, high value components.
  • Self-motivate and prioritize projects to meet completion dates.
  • Basic machining knowledge.
  • Outside processing knowledge (heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc.)
  • Shift pattern: 12 pm-10 pm (M-Th)

Qualifications

  • Experience working with CMMS software
  • Program, setup and operate coordinate measuring machines.
  • Perform first article, in-process, final and receiving inspections.
  • Provide feedback to machinists and engineers with dimensional data.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M standard.
