About the role

Field CTO acting as technical ambassador bridging MinIO engineering innovation with enterprise customer needs, focused on AI architectures, data lakes, and scalable object storage for large enterprises. Bay Area, CA based.

Responsibilities

  • Executive Advisory & Evangelism: Act as a trusted technical advisor to C-level executives at Fortune 500 companies. Articulate the strategic value of high-performance object storage in the context of AI readiness and data democratization.
  • Architectural Leadership: Design and validate complex, large-scale architectures for enterprise customers. Guide them in integrating MinIO into AI/ML pipelines and modern data lakehouse ecosystems.
  • Industry Thought Leadership: Represent MinIO at conferences, webinars, and meetups. Write technical whitepapers, reference architectures, and blogs on object storage, generative AI, and modern analytics.
  • Pre-Sales & Post-Sales Strategic Support: Partner with enterprise sales and customer success on high-stakes deals. Unblock technical objections during PoCs and deployments.
  • Product Strategy Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the customer to product and engineering, distilling trends into actionable requirements.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in technical leadership roles (e.g., Enterprise Architect, Chief Architect, VP of Engineering, or previous Field CTO).
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing or evangelist capacity, presenting to technical and C-level audiences.
