About the role

Software Engineer role focused on building and deploying applications that leverage PhysicsX’s physics AI models for customers. Involves collaborating with customers, data scientists, and ML engineers to solve high-complexity engineering problems across multiple industries, with on-site customer engagements and periodic travel.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to ship physics models to customers with maximum value
  • Work with designers and front-end engineers to shape the UX in line with customer needs
  • Design end-to-end applications with customers, prototyping and iterating based on user feedback
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs (FastAPI) and microservices in Python to serve Large Physics Models
  • Deploy applications to the cloud using Helm, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS/Azure
  • Distill complex solutions into fundamental components and drive feature development on top of the core platform
  • Drive the direction of PhysicsX to solve increasingly hard problems for customers

Qualifications

  • Background in Mechanical Engineering or similar is a plus
  • Solid foundation in software engineering, API design, and deploying applications to production
  • Track record of solving hard problems across engineering disciplines
  • Proactive, high ownership mindset with the ability to own problems end-to-end
  • Customer-obsessed mindset with ability to work alongside customers to understand problems and build impactful solutions
