About the role

Solutions Architect to support US Government customers in the Northern Virginia / DC Metro area on the National Security team. Serve as a trusted technical advisor, design cloud architectures, drive AWS service adoption, and collaborate with Sales and internal AWS teams for intelligence community customers.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS (in partnership with the sales team)
  • Build and migrate applications, software and services on the AWS platform as a key member of the business development and sales team
  • Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and engage in deep architectural discussions to ensure cloud deployment readiness
  • Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions for customers considering or using AWS
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community
  • Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers and reusable content
  • Build deep relationships with senior technical stakeholders within customers to enable cloud advocacy
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support
  • Drive the AWS service roadmap to support customer requirements within cleared environments
  • Work with Sales and AWS teams to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures for Intelligence Community customers
  • Help customers understand best practices for cloud migration and accelerate adoption of AWS services
  • Travel up to 25% as needed
  • Possess and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and US citizenship

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
  • 5+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics
  • Bachelor's degree, or CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, or CSSLP
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
