About the role

System Development Engineer to support Amazon WorkSpaces Personal and WorkSpaces Applications. Design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure, tools, and systems to provide a highly available and resilient platform for customers' and teams' workloads. Limited to candidates with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure, tools and systems to provide a highly-available and resilient platform for our customers' and our team's workloads.
  • This position involves on-call responsibilities, typically for two weeks in every quarter. We work to ensure that our systems are fault tolerant and, when paged, we resolve root causes to prevent repeats.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
