About the role

Forward Deployed Engineer role at Sieve focused on turning ambiguous customer needs into production systems to find, generate, filter, transform, evaluate, and package high-quality video datasets at scale. Primarily customer-facing with end-to-end ownership from requirements to deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers or external teams to translate ambiguous needs into concrete technical systems
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand data requirements
  • Turn requirements into production systems that can find, generate, filter, transform, evaluate, and package high-quality video datasets at scale
  • Write clean, maintainable code and move quickly without creating brittle systems
  • Deliver end-to-end outcomes across data pipelines, not just model training or research code

Qualifications

  • Strong Python development experience
  • Hands-on experience in PyTorch or similar ML frameworks
  • Experience building custom algorithms, model workflows, or large-scale data pipelines
  • Strong intuition for dataset quality, filtering, labeling, evaluation, and edge cases
  • Ability to break customer goals down into models, heuristics, infrastructure, and QA steps
  • Deep passion for video, media technologies, and frontier AI applications
  • Motivation to deliver end-to-end outcomes
